HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 86-67 - SW GTown Industrial DistrictORDINANCE' f Y WHEREAS, ("TCS") and certain properties the Georgetown Railroad owned by the Texas Crushed Company (1GRR") are within Stone the Company Extra Territorial Jurisdiction ("ETJ") of the City of Georgetown, Texas ("City"),, and WHEREAS, TCS and GRR have expressed a desire to establish an Industrial District covering their property; and WHEREAS, the formation of an Industrial District within a City's ETJ is permitted by Section 5 of Article 970a, V®A®T®C.S.. and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas ("City Council"), finds that the creation of such an Industrial District is in the best interest of the City,* NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas. # 7M# In accordance with the provisions of Section 5, Article 970a, V.A®T.C.S. there is hereby created the Southwest Georgetown Industrial District ("Southwest District"). It is the purpose and intent in creating the Southwest District to provide for the orderly and planned development of the property located therein in a manner which will allow for the long term and continued economic use of thiz property beneficial to both the owners and the community.
