AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 86-17 DATED APRIL 8, 1986; CHANGING THE PERIOD OF TIME, WHICH A VEHICLE CAN BE LEGALLY PARKED IN ZONES, TO TWO (2) HOUR ZONES AS ESTABLISHED IN SECTION 22-42 OF THE GEORGETOWN CODE OF ORDINANCES PRIOR TO ITS AMENDMENT BY ORDINANCE NO. 86-17 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FACILITATING PARKING IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA DUR- ING THE DOWNTOWN AREA SIDEWALK RENOVATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, hereby finds that the renovation of the area in downtown Georgetown pursuant to the Historic District Improvement Project has been substantially completed, WHEREAS, the number of parking spaces, which were reduced due to the improvement project, have been returned to the original number, and the traffic and parking problems have subsided; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there no longer exists a necessity for the one (1) hour parking limitation. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS THAT: SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 86-17, amending Section 22-42, TWO HOUR ZONES be repealed and Section 22-42 TWO HOUR ZONES be reenacted to its original form by changing the time which a vehicle can be legally parked in zones so marked and designated as two (2) hour zones and replacing the time "one (I) hour" where ever it appears within such ordinance (86-17): When signs are in place giving notice thereof, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, inclusive, legal holidays excluded, it shall be unlawful for any person to leave standing or parked, any vehicle for a period of more than two (2) hours in the following two (2) hour parking zones and each successive two (2)
