AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23-1 RATES AND CHARGES
FOR CITY SERVICE - SCHEDULES, OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
CODE OF ORDINANCESr SUBSECTION (F) TO ADOPT A SCHEDULE
OF GARBAGE RATES AND CHARGES FOR THE SALES OF GARBAGE
SERVICES RENDERED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN GARBAGE
COLLECTION SYSTEMS; REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND
SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION I. That section 23-1 Rates and charges for city service -
Schedules, of the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances
subsection (F), Garbage Rates, is hereby amended to establish,
levy, fix, and prescribe the rates for the sales made of services
rendered by the City of Georgetown Garbage Collection Systems,
for residential service class, small general service class,
church service class, school service class, large general service
class is hereby amended to read as follows;
(F) Garbage Rates;
(1) Residential Service Rates:
Inside City: $7.00 per month.
Outside City: $9.00 per month.
(2) Church Service Rate: $20.00 per month.
(3) School Service Rate: $150.00 per month.
(4) Small General Service Rate:
A. Two-day per week pick-up: Minimum charge $25.00 per
month.
B.
Pick-up
three or more days per week: Minimum charge
$50.00
per
month.
(5) Large General Service Rate: $3.00 per cubic yard
per month based on average monthly cubic yards of
garbage produced by the establishment. Such averages
shall be determined by the City,

(6) Application of all Garbage Rates: All the above
rates shall apply for any full month, or partial month,
that services are rendered.

with this Ordinance, shall be and

same are hereby in all things
repealed.
SECTION III. If any part of this amendatory ordinance is found by
any
court
of
competent
jurisdiction to
be void or
unconstitutional,
the remaining
portions shall
not be affected
but
shall
remain
in full force
and effect.
SECTION
IV.
This
ordinance shall
become effective
on second and
final
reading
