AMENDING SECTION 23-2 THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN CODE ESTABLISHING DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS SAME -DEPOSITS, OF OF ORDINANCES BY FOR DIFFERENT GROUPS OF CUSTOMERS, ESTABLISF-ING A UTILITY REFUND POLICY, PROVIDING A SEVERAFILITY CLAUSE AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN® TEXAS THAT: SECTION I. (f) Deposit Required After Termination. Unless already utility deposit ordinance 1986 page 1 of 2 posted, a utility deposit, as required by this section, shall be posted by any utility customer, regardless of payment history, if utility service has been discontinued for non-payment. Utility customers shall thereafter be entitled to a Satisfactory Payment History Deposit Refund upon the completion of the required two (2) year Satisfactory Payment History, as computed from the date of reconnect, in accordance with the provisions of this section. SECTION II. If any part of this amendatory ordinance is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be void or unconstitutional, the remaining portions shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION III. This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption of its second and final reading by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas. No account shall be eligible for a satisfactory deposit refund until two years after the effective date of this ordinance.
