AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE
BOUNDARY OF THE EXTRA -TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION
(ETJ) OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS TO INCLUDE
CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND OWNED BY H.C. MANDELL, H.C.
BELL JR., AND KERRY G. MERRITT; WHICH SAID
TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT
ETJ OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND NOT BEING
PART OF ANY INCORPORATED AREA OR WITHIN THE ETJ OF
ANY OTHER INCORPORATED AREA; AND CONTAINING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas
(City) may expand the boundaries of its extra -territorial
jurisdiction (ETJ) upon the request of the owner(s) of said
properties requesting such expansion; and
WHEREAS, the City has received valid petitions from the
owners of the properties described in Exhibit A requesting
expansion of the City's ETJ to include their properties; and
WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies contiguous
to the otherwise existing ETJ of the City;
WHEREAS, none of the territory described herein lies with�(N;,
the corporate boundaries or ETJ of any other city; and
WHEREAS, all notices and other prerequisites of state law
and the City Charter have been complied with; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS;
Section 1. All of the facts recited in the preamble to this
ordinance are hereby found by the Council to be true and correct,
and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a
part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim;
Section 2. The following described land and territory lying
adjacent and contiguous to the ETJ of the City is hereby added to
the existing ETJ of the City and the existing ETJ of the City is
hereby expanded to include such properties more particularly
described as follows:
BEING those certain tracts and parcels of land
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and in-
corporated herein by reference for all purposes.
Section 3. If any section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or
provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
Ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof other
than the part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.

TRACT 1
BEING 10.00 acres of land situated in the John Berry Survey,
Abstract No. 51 in Williamson County, Texas; said land being a
tract conveyed to Humboldt C. Mandell, of record in Volume 826,
Page 144 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and
said land being a portion of that certain 52.58 acre tract as
conveyed by deed from Harold E. Conlee to Randall T. Smith, of
record in Volume 705, Page 35 of the Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground under the supervision of
Don H. Bizzell, Registered Public Surveyor, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin found, marking the most easterly
S.E. corner of the above -referenced 52.58 acre Smith Tract, for
the S.E. corner hereof;
THENCE, N 18 061W, along the East line of the said 52.58
acre Smith Tract, at 1314.05 feet passing an iron pin set on the
South bank of the San Gabriel River, in all 1448.55 feet to a
point in the center of the said River, for the N.E. corner
hereof
THENCE, along the center of the said River, S 8 251 W,
780.01 feet to a point, for the N.W. corner hereof,
THENCE, S 18 06' E, 1052.58 feet to an iron pin set on the
East line of the said 52.58 acre Smith Tract, for the S.W. corner
hereof;
THENCE, N 30 59' E, 460.97 feet, along the East line of a
50 -foot -wide road easement to the place of BEGINNING and
containing 10.00 acres of land.

BEING 5.00 acres of land situated in the John Berry Survey,

found marking the most easterly S.E. corner of the said 52.58
