HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 870428.00A - Zoning Legend Oaks Sec 2• • - : i iii AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1968, AMENDING A PART OF THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE, TO CHANGE LOTS 1-6, LEGEND OAKS SECTION TWO IN THE J. PULSIFER SURVEY ABSTRACT NO. 498, IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FROM THE R -S RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT TO THE C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ZONING CLASSIFICATION, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning district classification of the following described real property. Lots 1-6, Legend Oaks Section Two, a subdivision of record by plat in Cabinet I, Slides 269-270, of the Official Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas; and WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, gave notice of such hearing by publishing same in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of George- town, Texas, which notice stated the time and place of hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first day of such publication; and WHEREAS, written notice was given not less than fifteen (15) days before the date set for the meeting before the Planning and Zoning Commission, to all the owners of the lots within 200 feet of the above described property, as required by law; and WHEREAS, property for quired by law hearing, not said hearing, the applicant fo which such change for advertising less than fifteen and r such zoning change placed on the is applied such sign(s) as re - the Planning and Zoning Commission (15) days before the date set for WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission in a meeting held on August 4, 1987, recommended the changing of said zoning district classifications provided in the Zoning Ordinance on the above described LOTS 1-6 from the R -S RESIDENTIAL SINGLE- FAMILY District to C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL District zoning classifi- cation; Legend Oaks Two - Rezoning (psf LEGOKREOR) Page 1 of 3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas. That the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, as well as the Zoning District for the property de- scribed above as Lots 1-6, Legend Oaks Section Two, a subdivi- sion of record by plat in Cabinet I. Slides 269-270, of the Of- ficial Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, shall be and the same is hereby changed from the R -S RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY District to the C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL District classification.
