AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN CODE OF
ORDINANCES CHAPTER 23, SECTION 23-1., RATES AND CHARGES FOR
CITY SERVICE -SCHEDULES, SUBSECTION (B), WATER RATES, AND
SUBSECTION (C), SEWER RATES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
SECTION 1. That the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances Chapter 23, Section
23-1., Rates and charges for city service -Schedules, Section (B) WATER RATES,
be amended to hereby read as follows:
INSIDE CITY LIMITS
Minimum (applicable to all sales
gallons or less monthly),.,.,..,...,.,
Cost per 1000 gallons over Minimum....
OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS
for the first 2,000

$ 1.55
Minimum (applicable to all sales for the first 2,000
gallons or less 26.00
Cost per 1000 gallons over Minimum ................. $ 1.87
The above rates shall apply to all water leaks that may
occur on the customer side of the water meter.
SECTION 2. That the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances Chapter 23, Section
23-1., Rates and charges for city service -Schedules, Subsection (C), SEWER
RATES, be amended to hereby read as follows:
RESIDENTIAL
Minimum (applicable to all sales for the first 3,000
gallons or less monthly average).,.''.''.'''',.,..'' $ 3.30
Cost. per 1000 gallons over Minimum .................. $ 1.25
Maximum............................................. $14.00
NON RESIDENTIAL
Minimum (applicable to all sales for the first 3,000
gallons or less monthly average) .................... $ 5.30
Cost per 1000 gallons over Minimum .................. $ 1.50
Maximum............................................. None
All accounts receiving city water service and connected to
city sewer shall pay the above sewer charges, regardless of
whether the building is occupied or not. All of the above
charges are
computed using
the average number
of gallons of
water used
for a three
month winter period,

SECTION 3. If any
Ordinance shall
not affect the validity

phrase, or provision of this
unconstitutional, the same shall

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption of its second
and final reading by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and its
publication.
