OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND NOT BEING *+' A NY AREA; PROVIDING FOR SERVICE PLANS, AND INCORPORATED CONTAINING 1 SAVINGS CLAUSE, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, may under the Charter of said City, Section 1.06, annex areas as allowed by State law; and WHEREAS, notices of two (2) public hearings were published according to law in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to those hearings; and WHEREAS,• public hearings by the City Council of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provides with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of certain tract located in Williamson County, Texas, including STRIP OF LAND TEN FEET (10') NORTH OF AND FOLLOWING THE NOR RIGHT-OF-WAY OF i EAST OF THE CURRENT were r. the first being on the 21stday of July, 1987,and the seco hearing28th r of • s • WHEREAS, at such public hearings, a proposed service plan was presented to and discussed by the Council and all interested persons; and WHEREAS, such public hearings were held not more than forty (40) nor less than (20) days prior to the institution of these proceedings: and WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Georgetown, Texas on the 1st day of January, 1987 was 6839 acres; and WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas includes approximately 16,000 inhabitants; and WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains 60.7 acres, and is not located within the incorporated limits of another City, or within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of another City; and WHEREAS, all notices and other prerequisites of state law and the City Charter have been complied with; now therefore of Georgetown, of this BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS; annexed hel unconstitutional,provision to the shall City Section 1.
