CITY LIMITS* WHICH SAID TERRITORY i AND ADJOINS PRESENT BOUNDARY OF OF i' i NOT .;, OF INCORPORATED AREA; PROVIDING FOR SERVICE PLANS, AND CONTAINING A SAVINGS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, may under the Charter of said City, Section 1.06, annex areas as allowed by State law; and WHEREAS, notices of two (2) public hearings were published according to law in a newspaper having genera_ circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to those hearings, and WHEREAS, two public hearings by the City Councilof Georgetown,of all • •-• with an opportunity t• be heard on • a d annexation of certain tract located in Williamson County, Texas, including a STRIP OF A' t i. EAST OF r, the first being on the 21st day of July, 1987, and the seconi hearing being on the r th day of July, 1987, and WHEREAS, at such public hearings, a proposed service plan was presented to and discussed by the Council and all interested persons, and WHEREAS, such public hearings were held not more than forty (4.0) nor less than (20) days prior to the institution of these proceedings and WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Georgetown, Texas on the lst day of January, 1987 was 6839 acres; and WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas includes approximately 16,000 inhabitants; and WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains 61.7 acres, and is not located within the incorporated limits of another City, or within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of another City* and WHEREAS, all notices and other prerequisites of state law and the City Charter have been complied with* now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS* Section 1. All of the facts recited in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby found by the Council to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim* Section 2. The following described land and territory lying adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included in the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the present boundary limits of said City at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to -wit® thoseBEING a of i in- corporated for purposes, Section 3. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro -rata share of the taxes levied by the City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of city citizenship, shall be bound by all such duties of citizenship and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Georgetown, Texas* furthermore, said tracts described in Exhibit A shall be served in accordance with the service plan described in Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, which is hereby approved and adopted. Section 4. If any section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this Ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof other than the part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional. FIELD NOTE DESCRIPTION FIELD NOTES DESCRIBING A 0.4 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF AND A PART OF THE WILLIAM ADDISON SURVEY A-21 AND THE WOODRUFF STUBBLEFIELD SURVEY A-556 IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS SAID 0.4 ACRES OF LAND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS, COMMENCING, for reference, at the northeast corner of that certain 9.72 acre tract of land conveyed to Barbara Rister Petrosky and Joe B. The department will respond to calls for assistance within their responsibility and jurisdiction. The City Code Enforcement Officer shall periodically patrol streets in the area to ensure that all properties are in conformance with City Code, Fire Service Fire service is now being provided to the area and will continue to be provided by the present personnel and equipment of the fire fighting force® Water Service Jonah Mater Supply Corporation will service to the area.
