ADJOINSITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND BOUNDARY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND NOT BEING PART OF ANY INCORPORATED 1CONT1INING 1 1 PROVIDING • VINGS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, may under the Charter of said City, Section 1.06, annex areas as allowed by State laws and WHEREAS, notices of two (2) public hearings were published according to law in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to those hearings and WHEREAS, two public hearings by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of a certain tract located in Williamson County, Texas, including a PORTION OF BERRY CREEK were held, the first being on the 21st day of July, 1987, the second hearing being on the 28th day of July, 1987; and WHEREAS, at such public hearings, a proposed service plan was presented to and discussed by the Council and all interested persons; and WHEREAS, such public hearings were held not more than forty (40) nor less than (20) days prior to the institution of these proceedings: and WHEREAS,ofal corporate area of the City of -f Texas on the Ist day of January, 1987 was 6839 acress, and WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas includes approximately 16,000 inhabitants; and WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains 91.7 acres, and is not located within the incorporated limits of another City, or within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of another City; and 'XAEREAS, all notices and other prerequisites of state lajA and the City Charter havebeen complied now f.. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS; Section 1. All of the facts recited in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby found by the Council to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim; Section 2.
