WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
may under the Charter of said City, Section 1.06, annex areas as
allowed by State law, and
WHEREAS, notices of two (2)

WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas
includes approximately 16,000 inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the
extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
and
WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and
contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and
WHEREAS,
the herein
described
territory
contains
63.1 acres, and
is not located
within the
incorporated
limits of
another City,
or within
the
extra -territorial
jurisdiction
of
WHEREAS,
all notices
and
other
prerequisites
of state law
and the City
Charter
have been
complied
with;
now therefore
iOrdinance
shall
BE IT
ORDAINED
BY THE
CITY
COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS;
the
same
shall not
affect
the
validity
of
thl
Ordinance
Section 1. All of the facts recited in the preamble to this
ordinance are hereby found by the Council to be true and correct,
and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a
part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim;
Section2. Thefollowing i^ s`d land and territory

ftereby added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and
said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included
in the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the
present boundary liIl of said at the variouspoints

amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of
the City of Georgetown, ;

Section 3® The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the
property so added hereby shall bear its pro -rata share of the
taxes levied by the City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants
thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of
city citizenship, shall be bound by all such duties of
citizenship and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations of the City of Georgetown, Texas;
furthermore, said tracts described in Exhibit A shall be served
in accordance with the service plan described in Exhibit B
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, which is
hereby approved and adopted®

COMMENCING for reference at a point on the east right -of -wap
line of IH 35, said point being 395 feet left of highway
reference line station 645+00;
THENCE N 17028' E, along said east right-of-way line and the

THENCE following a line 250 feet south of and parallel to

Plan of Service for the Annexation Areas
including® A PORTION OF BERRY CREEK
Police Protection
Upon annexation the Georgetown Police Department will
provide regular and routine patrols of streets in the area
part of its overall patrol activities. The department will
respond to calls for assistance within their responsibility
jurisdiction. The City Code Enforcement Officer shall
periodically patrol streets in the area to ensure that all
properties are in conformance with City Code®

Fire Service
Fire service is now being provided to the area and will con-
tinue to be provided by the present personnel and equipment of
the fire fighting force®
Water Service
The area is currently undeveloped, water lines will be
extended in accordance with City policy as development of the
area occurs. After installation, maintenance of City water
facilities will be provided in accordance with rates, terms, and
conditions contained in the City Code,
Sewer Service
The area is currently undeveloped, use of septic systems
will be permitted in accordance with City and County regulations
if development of the area occurs.
