the City of Georgetown, Texas, hereby finds

along certain portions of FM 2243 of said City as hereinafter described,
SECTION I
SPEED ZONE
It is hereby determined i o I n the basisof g t i traffic
investigation that the prima facie maximum speed limit on those portions of FM
" routed in the city limits of Georgetown,• • i

prima facie maximum speed limit shall be effective at all times and signs will
be erected giving notice of the prima facie maximum speed limit so declared
FOR WESTBOUND TRAFFIC.
Beginning a milepoint 21.286 (Loop 418) to the city limit of Georgetown at
milepoint 20.940, a distance of 0.346 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit
of 40 miles per hour.
From the city limit of Georgetown at milepoint 20.775 to the west city limit of
Georgetown at milepoint 20.230, a distance of 0.545 miles, a prima facie maximum
speed limit of 40 miles per hour®
Beginning at the west city limit of Georgetown at milepoint 20.230 to the city
limit of Georgetown at milepoint 20.775, a distance of 0.545 miles, a prima
facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour®
From the city limit of Georgetown at milepoint 20.940 to milepoint 21.286 (Loop
418), a distance of 0.346 miles, a prima facie maximum speed lim4t of 40 miles
per hour®

any such streets, are
hereby declaredto be public streetsand that the driving or p a
motor vehicle on or along portion of any streetof r rate
speed that is greater than the maximum rate of speed for said portion of said
street, as fixed by this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which is
named "The Offense of Speeding," and that the said offense is punishable by fine

SECTION IV
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES
That all
City
Secretary
ordinances
is hereby
and parts of ordinances that are in conflict
with this
ordinance
are
hereby
repealed®
The
City
Secretary
is hereby
directed
to publish
and
penalty,
at
least
one time
within
ten (10)days
as
soon
thereafter
authorized
as possible

the
City
Secretary
shall
as
also
receive from and
this ordinance, or its caption
after final passage hereof or
the City of Georgetown, Texas,
file an affidavit of such
publication

fact that prompt action should be taken in the regulation of traffic,
streets of this City, in the manner provided for in this Ordinance
an emergency requiring that the rules that provide that an ordinance
read at two (2) separate meetings of the City Council before final
be suspended; and that the said rules are hereby suspended, and this
is here and now passed, and that it is ordered that it take effect
after its passage and publication,
