AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A 0.07
ACRE EASEMENT LOCATED TO THE EAST OF THE
INTERSECTION OF THE FOREST STREET AND WEST
14TH STREET RIGHT-OF-WAYS (R.O.W.) AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SPECIAL
WARRANTY DEED CONVEYING SAME.
WHEREAS, Bob M. Brown has petitioned the City to vacate and
abandon a 0.07 acre easement located east of the Forest Street
and West 14th Street intersection, being more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Bob M. Brown owns the property surrounding the said
easement on three sides and has offered to acquire the easement
by Special Warranty Deed, and it is the City's desire to convey
same; and
WHEREAS, each of the utilities providing service in the
vicinity of the West 14th and Forest Street intersection have
determined that there exists no present or foreseeable need for
the easement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is no longer in the
public interest for the City to maintain an easement for r.o.w.
at this location;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the City hereby abandons and
vacates the 0.07 acre easement shown in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such
instrument of conveyance as may be approriate..
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 23th day
of August, 19 88.

FIELD NOTES FOR B. M. BROWN:
BEING 0.07 of an acre of land, being a portion of 14th (Short) Street in the
W. B. Dalrymple's Addition, an addition of record in Volume 20, Page 619 of
the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground in the
month of June, 1988, under the supervision of Don H. Bizzell, Registered
Public Surveyor, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set at the intersection of the East line of Forest
(Dalrymple) Street and the North line of 14th (Short) Street, for the
Southwest corner of that certain tract of land as conveyed to B. M. Brown by
deed as recorded in Volume 908, Page 100, of the Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas; being the Southwest corner of Block E of the above -referenced
Dalrymple's Addition, for the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE, along the North
line
of 14th Street, S 88° 24' E,
65.31 feet to an
iron pin set in a fence
for
the Southeast corner of the
said Brown tract,
(908/100) being the Southeast
corner of the said Block E,
also being on the
West line of that certain
tract
of land, conveyed to B. M. Brown by deed as
recorded in Volume 499,

425, of the Deed Records of
Williamson County,
Texas, for the Northeast
corner hereof;
THENCE, with a fence, along the West line of the said Brown tract (499/425)
S 000 07' W, 47.21 feet to an iron pin found at a fence corner marking the
Northeast corner of that certain third tract of land, as conveyed to B. M.
Brown and Elizabeth Brown by deed as recorded in Volume 540, Page 325, of
the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; being the Northeast corner of
Block F of the said Dalrymple's Addition for the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE, along the South line of 14th Street, N 88° 24' W, 65.50 feet to an
iron pin found at the intersection for the said South line of 14th Street
and the East line of Forest Street, marking the Northwest corner of the
said Brown Tract (540/325) being the Northwest corner of the said Block F,
for the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE, crossing 14th Street, along the said East line of Forest Street,
N 000 21' 30" E, 47.20 feet to the Place of BEGINNING and containing 0.07 of
an acre of land.

survey was made on the ground of the property legally described hereon and

improvements, visible utility lines or roads in place, except as shown on
the accompanying plat, and that said property has access to and from a
dedicated road, except as shown thereon, and is true to the best of my
knowledge and belief.
