AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, SECTION
2-10, ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS AND DEPARTMENTS; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas deems it
necessary to amend Chapter 2 of the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances
entitled "Administration", Section 2-10, "Administrative divisions and depart-
ments";
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN*
SECTION 1.
That the City Council finds that the recitals set forth in the preamble of this
ordinance are true and correct and are adopted herein.
SECTION 2.
That the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances, Chapter 22 Adminis-
tration, Section 2-10, Administrative divisions and departments, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-10. Administrative divisions and departments.
There are hereby established the following administrative divisions and
departments of the City.
(1) Community Services Division.
Recreation Services
Administration & Personnel
Library
Municipal Court
Airport - Administration
Airport - Terminal Operations
Customer Service
Sanitation
Facilities Maintenance
Service Center
Streets
Parks/Cemetery
Tourism
(2) Development and Planning Division.
Planning
Building Inspection

Accounting
Utility Contracts
Purchasing and Property
Utility Office
(4) Fire Division

Emergency Operations

(7) Public Utilities Division:
Administration
Electrical
Pump Maintenance
Water Distribution
Lake Water Treatment Plant
Wastewater Collection

SECTION 2.
In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, provision
sentence or part of this Ordinance or the application of same to any person or
circumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional,
by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect, impair, or invali-
date the remainder of this ordinance which shall be given full force and
effect.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption by the City
