AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE PASSED AND
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1968, AMENDING A PART OF ;THE
ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE, TO CHANGE
LOTS 1 & 2 BLOCK A, LOTS 1-4 'BLOCK B AND LOTS 2-13 BLOCK C
OF REATA EAST IN THE D. WRIGHT SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 13 AND
IN THE 'N. PORTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 497 IN THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FROM THE A AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO THE
RM -2 DENSE MULTI—FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ZONING
CLASSIFICATION AND TO CHANGE LOTS 5 & 6 BLOCK B AND LOT
1 BLOCK C OF REATA EAST IN THE Do WRIGHT SURVEY, ABSTRACT
NO. 13 AND IN THE No PORTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 497 IN THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FROM THE A AGRICULTURAL
DISTRICT TO THE C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ZONING
CLASSIFICATION, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council
for the purpose of changing the zoning district classification of
the following described real propertyc
Lots 1 and 2 Block A. Lots 1-6 Block B and Lots 1-13 Block C
of the Reata East subdivision of the City of Georgetown, William-
son County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change
in the Zoning Ordinance to the Planning and Zoning Commission for
its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance, gave notice of such hearing by publishing
same in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of George-
town, Texas, which notice stated the time and place of hearing
and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first
day of such publication, and
WHEREAS, written notice was given not less than fifteen (15)
days before the date set for the meeting before the Planning and
Zoning Commission, to all the owners of the lots within 200 feet
of the above described property, as required by law, and
WHEREAS, the applicant for such zoning change placed on the
property for which such change is applied such sign(s) as requir-
ed by law for advertising the Planning and Zoning Commission
hearing, not less than fifteen (15) days before the date set for
said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission in a meet-
ing held on July 5, 1988, recommended the changing of said zoning
district classifications provided in the Zoning Ordinance on the
Reata East - Rezoning (raf REATAEST7J6J88) page 1 of 3
above described property from the A Agricultural District to the
RM -2 Dense Multi -Family Residential District zoning classifica-
tion and the C-1 Local Commercial District zoning classification;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Georgetown, Texas:
Section One. All of the facts recited in the preamble to
this ordinance are hereby found by the Council to be true and
correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied herein verbatim,
Section Two. That the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
of the City of Georgetown, as well as the Zoning District for the
property described above Lots 1 and 2 Block A, Lots 1-4 Block B
and Lots 2-13 Block C of Reata East of the City of Georgetown,
Williamson County, Texas, is hereby changed from the A AGRICUL-
TURAL District to the RM -2 DENSE MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL Dis-
trict classification and Lots 5 and 6 Block B and Lot 1 Block C
of Reata East of the City of Georgetown, Williamson County,
Texas, is hereby changed from the A AGRICULTURAL District to the
C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL District classification.

1988, on the second and final reading.
