HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 880189.021 - Serenada East PUEORDINANCE No AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF A TEN -FOOT (10.0') PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT (PUE) WHICH LIES ADJACENT AND PARALLEL TO THE WESTERN PROPERTY LINE OF LOT 2, BLOCK 4 OF SERENADA EAST UNIT THREE, AS RECORDED IN CABINET D, SLIDES 26-27 OF THE OFFICIAL PLAT RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS® WHEREAS, Jordan A. May is the owner of Lot 2 Block 4, Serenada East Unit Three, as recorded in Cabinet D Slides 26-27 of the Official Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, parts of which are affected by the above mentioned easement which is more particularly described in Exhibit 9PA" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the residence of the said owner encroaches 1.3 feet into the 10 -foot PUE located along the western property line of Lot 2; and WHEREAS, said owner has petitioned the City of Georgetown for the abandonment of the said easement as it relates to said Lot 2; and WHEREAS, the utility companies serving Serenada East Unit Three have determined that there exists no present or foreseeable future need for the easements; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is no longer in the public interest for the City to •maintain an easement for utilities at this location and therefore recommends abandoning the same; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the City hereby abandons and vacates the ten (10.0') foot public utility easement located adjacent and parallel to the western property line of the property now known as Lot 2, Block 4, Serenada Est Unit Three, of record in Cabinet D, Slides 26-27 of the Official Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas® READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 26th day of April, 19 88.
