HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 890455 - Establishing Child Care Reg•'tWA a �• • t WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, desires to promote the public health, safety, morals, and welfare of the community; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for a variety of child care facilities within the community; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to conserve the integrity of neighborhoods throughout the City; and WHEREAS, written notice was given not less than fifteen (15) days before the meeting at which this ordinance was considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission, as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission in a meeting held on October 3, 1989, recommended approval of this ordinance that amends the zoning regulations to regulate child care facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that this action implements Education Policy 1, Growth and Physical Development Policy 2, and Health and Human Services Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Section One.
