ASK ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THOSE
PORTIONS OF TWO TEN FOOT (10/) PUBLIC
U'T'ILITY EASEMENTS WHICH EXTEND ALONG THE
COMMON PROPERTY LINE OF LOTS 127 AND 129
OF SERENADA. COUNTRY ESTATES, AS RECORDED
IN CABINET B, SLIDE 339 OF THE PLAT
RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the owners of Lots 127 and 129 of Serenada
Country Estates, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 339 of the
Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, have constructed a
garage upon and over tine common line of said lots; and
WHEREAS, said common lot line is affected by two ten foot
wide public utility easements; and
WHEREAS, said owner has petitioned the City of Georgetown for
the abandonment of said easements as it relates to said Lots
127 & 129, as shown on Exhibit "A°' attached; and
WHEREAS, the utility companies serving the Serenada
Country Estates subdivision have determined that there exists
no present or foreseeable future need for the easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is no longer in the
public interest for the City to maintain an easement for
utilities at this location and therefore recommends abandoning
the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the City hereby abandons and
vacates the two ten (10) foot public utility easements located
along and parallel to the common property line of the property
now known as Lots 127 and 129 of Serenada Country Estates, as
recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 339 of the Plat Records of
Williamson County, Texas.
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 24th day
of October, 1989,
READ PASSED AND APPROVED on second and final reading this
day of November, 1989.
