SECTION 1.
That
the City
Council finds
that the
recitals set forth in the preamble of
this
ordinance
are true and
correct
and are adopted herein.
SECTION 2.
That the
City of Georgetown
Code of Ordinances, Chapter
2, Administration,
Section
2-10, Administrative
divisions and departments,
is hereby amended
to read
as
follows:
Sec. 2-10. Administrative divisions and departments.
There are hereby established the following administrative divisions and
departments of the City:

Municipal Court
Customer Service
Sanitation
Facilities Maintenance
Service Center
Airport
Tourism
Risk Management and Safety
(2) Development and Planning Division:
Planning
Building Inspection
(3) Finance and Administration•
Administration
Accounting
Utility Contracts
Purchasing and Property
Utility Office
(4) Fire Division:
Fire Administration
Emergency Operations
(5) General Government Division:
General Government
Administration
Legal
Economic Development
(6) Police Division:
Police Services
Code Enforcement
(7) Public Utilities Division:
Administration
Electrical
Pump Maintenance
Water Distribution
Lake Water Treatment Plant
Wastewater Collection
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Park Water Treatment Plant
Streets
SECTION 3.
In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, provision
sentence or part of this ordinance or the application of same to any person
or circumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held
unconstitutional, by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not
affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance which shall
be given full force and effect.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1989 upon adoption by the
City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
