AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REDUCTION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WEIR, TEXAS, THROUGH THE
DISANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF
APPROXI14ATELY 43.37 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, BEING A PART
OF THE TOWN OF WEIR, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
ACCORDING TO THE PLAT OF THE TOWN OF WEIR AS
INCORPORATED, AND FOUND OF RECORD IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AND IS A PART OF AN ORDER ESTABLISHING THE
INCORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF WEIR FILED OF RECORD IN
VOLUME 1574, PAGE 253, OFFICIAL RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH PROPERTY IS iIORE FULLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR A VALIDATION AND SAVINGS CLAUSE,
WHEREAS, Section 43.144 of the Texas Local Government Code
provides that a mayor and governing body of a general law muni-
cipality by ordinance may discontinue an area as part of the ,
municipality if the area consists of at least ten (10) acres
contiguous to the municipality and the area contains fewer than
one (1) occupied residence or business structure for every two
(2) acres and fewer than three (3) occupied residences or busi-
ness structures on any one (1) acre; and
WHEREAS, the City of Weir desires to disannex 43,37 acres of
land, more or less, being a part of the Town of Weir more fully j
and accurately described in field notes attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference herein, which acreage
is more than ten (10) acres and contains fewer than one (1)
occupied residence or business structure for every two (2) acres
and fewer than three (3) occupied residences or business struc-
tures on any one (1) acre; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of
Weir that such property be disannexed as a part of the corporate
limits of the City of Weir.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Weir, Texas:
SECTION I.
All of the facts recited in the preamble to this ordinance
are hereby found by the Council to be true and correct, and are
incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part
hereof, as if copies herein verbatim.
SECTION II,
The following described land and territory lying within the
City of Weir, Texas, is hereby disannexed from the City of Weir,
Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall
hereinafter be excluded from the boundary limits in the City of
Weir, Texas, and the present boundary limits of the City of
Weir, Texas, at the various points contiguous to the area
hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to exclude
the area from the corporate limits of the City of Weir, Texas,
to -wit: BEING the tract and parcel of land of approximately
43.37 acres described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incor-
porated by reference herein for all purposes.
SECTION III,
If any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or provision of
this ordinance shall be adjudicated invalid or held unconstitu-
tional, the same shall not effect the validity of this ordinance
as a whole or any part or provision thereof other than the part
so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.

DESCRIPTION FOR THE TOWN OF VEIR
BEING 43.37 acres, more or less, part of the Town of Weir, in Williamson County, Texas, according to the plat of the
Town of Weir as incorporated by an election of the citizens of Weir. A plat of the said Town of Weir is filed in the
Office of the County Judge of the Commissioners' Court of Williamson County, Texas, An Order Establishing The
Incorporation of the Town of Weir is filed in Vol. 1.574, Pg. 253, Official Records of Williamson County, Texas. This
description has been prepared from data on record as referenced above and from computations made this date. No survey
on the ground or records research to determine ownership has been performed_. This parcel lies in the Joseph Berry
Survey Abstract No. 63 and in the Samuel Nimao League, Abstract No. 481.
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of 120 acres owned by Alfred Mueller, according to the 1968 tax nap prepared by Tobin
Research Inc. of San Antonio. This point being at a bend in the East line of County Road 140, about 20 feet East of the
West line of the Nimso League. According to record data, the Southeast corner of the Joseph Berry Survey which is in
the West line of the Nimmo League, stands S 71 deg. W 20 feet, and S 19 deg. E 5500 feet, more or less. This point
being the same beginning corner described for the 1062 acre Tract i described as a part of Exhibit A which is filed with
the said order in Vol. 1574, Pg. 253. as part of the Town of Weir.
THENCE with the North line of County Road 140, about N 71 deg. E at 2000 feet, more or less, pass a corner of the city
limit, continuing in all 3183.21 feet, more or less, to a point that is 60 feet Westerly from the East line of the W.A.
Fleischer property. The Fleischer East line is a city limit line and is the West line of a tract identified on the Weir
plat as the Lee Rose Driscoll, et. al, tract.
THENCE remaining 60 feet distant from and parallel to the said West line of the Driscoll tract, about S 19 deg. E 896.73
feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of the Driscoll tract.
THENCE about S 71 deg. W 1373.82 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of a i acre tract and the lower Northeast
corner of a 4 acre tract that are shown on the West side of County Road 140 (Town of Weir plat).
THENCE with the West line of County Road 140, about N 07 deg. W 814.53 feet, more or less.

and N 85 deg. E 786 feet, more or less.
THENCE with the North line of County Road 140 and the North line of the Weir city limit, about N 65 deg. E 2100 feet,
sore or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
