AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT
PORTION OF A TEN FOOT (10') PUBLIC UTILITY
EASEMENT WHICH EXTENDS ALONG THE COMMON
PROPERTY LINE OF LOTS 7 AND 8 OF SERENADA
EAST, UNIT FOUR, AS RECORDED IN CABINET D
SLIDES 28-29 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, a single family residential dwelling and an
accessory swimming pool are constructed on Lots 7 and 8, Block
4, of Serenada East, Unit Four, as recorded in Cabinet D Slides
28-29 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, said improvements cross the common lot line of
said lots; and
WHEREAS,

abandonment of said
petitioned
easement as
the City of
it relates
to said Lots

attached; and
WHEREAS, the utility companies serving the Gabriel Estates
subdivision have determined that there exists no present or
foreseeable future need for the easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is no longer in the
public interest for the City to maintain an easement for
utilities at this location and therefore recommends abandoning
the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the City hereby abandons and
vacates the ten (10) foot public utility easement located
along and parallel to the common property line of the property
now known as Lots 7 and 8, Block 4, of Serenada East, Unit
Four, as recorded in Cabinet D Slides 28-29 of the Plat Records
of Williamson County, Texas.
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 13th day
of December, 1988.
READ PASSED AND APPROVED on second and final reading this
