AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE CHILD
CARE FACILITIES REGULATIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE UNTIL
AUGUST 31, 1991; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE
DATED
G ==E—AS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, desires to promote the public health, safety and welfare of
the community; and
THI.EREAS, on November 28, 1989, the City Council adopted
Ordinance No. 890455, amending the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Georgetown concerning the location, design and operation of child
care facilities; and
nuEREAS, Ordinance No. 89055 was adopted only after a process
of thorough discussion and consideration by the City Council and
the Planning and Zoning Commission, with input from affected child
care facility operators, property owners, and the comm..iity at
large; a;,d
WlEREAS, Ordinance Na. 890455 will expire on August 31.1 1990;
and
