SPEED THEREIN DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ERECT APPROPRIATE SIGNS INDICATING SUCH
ZONES] PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE, PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION AND SETTING= AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, pursuant to the
police powers conferred upon it as a home -rule City, has the
authority to alter speed limits on public streets within its
jurisdiction;

replaced with the new Section, as shown on attached Exhibit "A".

If any ordinance, resolution, policy or procedure is in conflict

ordinance, then the same is hereby repealed to the extent of any

SECTION VI.
In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
provision, sentence or part of this Ordinance or the application
of the same to any person or circumstance shall for any reason be
adjudged invalid or held to be unconstitutional by a court of
competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect, impair, or
invalidate the remainder of this ordinance which shall be given
full force and effect.
SECTION VII.
Upon final passage the City Secretary shall cause this
ordinance's caption to be published in the newspaper of general
jurisdiction and this ordinance shall become effective l0 days
after its publication.

the North curb line of 8th Street continuing South

the West curb line of Asci Street and continuing
East on East 8th Street to the East curb line of
College Street, a prima facie maximum speed limit

at the West curb line of Olive Street and
