HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 02.14.1955 - Salaries of Aldermen87 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEOPGETt?WN, TEXAS, FIXING THE SALARY OF EACH AIDEPMUS THAT IS TO BE ELECTED AT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION IN AND FOR THIS SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGE 'CY 4 E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CE THE CITY OF GBORGET011M, TEXAS: That each alderman, to be elected at said general election, shall receive a salary of ten ( $10.00 ) Dollars per month, paid monthly, during the term for which he is elected. That the fact that it is necessary to fix the salaries of the said officers prior to the date of the said election creates an emergency making it necessary haat the rules requiring that an ordinance be read at three separate meetings>prlor to its passage, be suspended, and that the rules are hereby suspended, and this ordinance is at once passed, and that it take effect from and after its passages Passed and approved this the 14th day of Feb.
