hereby finds that this Ordinance implements the vision and policies of the Georgetown
2030 Comprehensive Plan as follows:
Vision Statement 4: Effective Governance
4.1: Efficient, Responsive Government
4.1A: Our City government retains its reputation for providing a high
level of •• to citizens and in exercising visionary leadership in
planning • investing for
4.1.B: We have created and enforced innovative, effective, and fair
regulatory codes and development standards to guide growth and improve
development quality. We have streamlined the regulatory process,
particularly fordesired development typesand locations,
and further finds that the enactment of this ordinance is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other 2030 Comprehensive Plan Goal, Policy, and Action.

Section 3. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions,
in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed, and are no longer of any force and

ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.

Medical r Dental Clinic. A facility housing the offices of more than three (3) medical
practitioners including physicians, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, podiatrists,
psychologists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, physical therapist, respiratory therapist or similar
practitioners of medical and healing arts for humans, licensed for such practice by the state,
who provide examination, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, therapy or other preventative or
correctional services on an outpatient basis. In addition to the services offered at a "Medical or
Dental Office", a clinic may include facilities providing minor outpatient surgical services
, dialysis or cancer centers, or similar
treatment facilities. Overnight stays of patients at such facilities shall not be allowed.
Medical r Dental Office. A facility housing the offices of no more than three (3) medical
practitioners, including physicians, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, podiatrists,
psychologists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, physical therapist, respiratory therapist or similar
practitioners of medical and healing arts for humans, licensed for such practice by the state,
who provide examination, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, therapy or other preventative or
correctional services on an outpatient basis. Facilities may include patient waiting rooms,
treatment areas and laboratory space. Overnight stays of patients at such facilities shall not be
allowed.
stmur ical Recovery Center, A facility providing generally healthy patients with post-
operative nursing care, pain control, and/or observation in a non -hospital setting for up to 72
hours following a surgical procedure. A Post -Surgical Recovery Center may be associated with
or integrated into a Surgery Center.
Substance Abuse Treatment acili . A facility providing 24-hour supervision, counseling
and treatment for persons not needing regular medical attention, but requiring rehabilitation
services for alcohol or chemical dependency or similar disorders, including those ordered as a
condition of probation.
