1. Presentation by and discussion with City of Leander's Mayor, John Cowman
and the Planning Director, Jim Bechtol, on the proposed Transit -Oriented
Development for the City of Leander.
The Workshop was called to order by Georgetown Planning and Zoning
Commission Chair Johnny Anderson. He introduced Georgetown Director of
Planning and Development Amelia Sondgeroth who explained that this
information may give insight to future development in Georgetown. She
introduced Leander Mayor, John Cowman, who gave a brief history of the
planned transit -oriented development and how it will affect both Leander and
Georgetown. Bechtol explained that the utilities and infrastructure are
available to make this development happen. Sondgeroth also introduced
Milosav Cekic who spoke about his experience in planning and development.
No official action was taken by either the Georgetown City Council or the
Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission,
The Workshop was adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
