Absent: Patty Eason, Gabe Sansing, Doug Smith, Henry 1AII Council Present Carr, John Kirby, Farley Snell, Ben Oliver j Staff Present: Paul Brandenburg, City Manager; Tom Yantis, Assistant City Manager; Jim Briggs, Assistant City Manager for Utility Operations; Patricia Carls, City Attorney; Sandra, Micki, Laurie, Mark Thomas, Ed, 'Mark Miller, Tom Benz i Called to order at 4:00 p.m. A Annual review of the City's Investment Policy -- Laurie Brewer, controller and Micki Rundell, Director of Finance and Administration Rundell noted that there is a review required. She gave the purpose of the investment policy, and noted that the Public Funds Investment Act is the guiding instrument along with GASB 34 requirements. She provided a slide presentation to explain the City's policies. There were questions from the Council. B Discussion regarding the creation of of a Transportation Advisory Board for the City of Georgetown - Paul E. Brandenburg, City Manager Brandenburg explained to Council that the creationof this board is needed to handle the transportation projects other than those funded by sales tax and coordinated by the Georgetown Transportation Enhancement Corporation {GTEC} Board. He said he feels much of the transportation network impacts not only the City, but also the County and other areas in the region and he said he feels there needs to be an authority to review such items as the Transportation Model. He said it has been recommended that the Board be composed of representatives from the County, Georgetown Independent School District, GTEC, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, as well as some citizens at large. He asked for Council's direction and noted that if the Council approves the creation, an ordinance will be brought back for their consideration. There was discussion and questions from the Council. Smith suggested there be an advocate on the Board to represent elderly citizens who do not drive.
