A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, Granting a
Petition for Voluntary Annexation of Approximately 5.016 acres, more or less, in the
s,
Antonio Flores Survey, Abstract No. 235, Owned by the Georgetown Independent
School District; and Directing Publication of Notice and Public Hearings for
Proposed Annexation
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing
body of the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028, by written
petition through a development agreement, properly acknowledged, to annex said area of land into
the City of Georgetown, to-wit:
All of that certain 5.016 acres, more or less, in the Antonio Flores Survey, Abstract No. 235, located east
of Austin Avenue and northwest of Meda Street, for Georgetown High School Stadium, that is more
particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A," and shown on the map attached hereto as
Exhibit "B," both of which Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set
forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the said area of land, is contiguous to the existing city limits of the City of
Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing
on it.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and it is hereby, granted;
and, further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public
hearings to be held July 8, 2008, and on July 22, 2008 before the City Council on the subject of the
proposed annexation of the said area into the City of Georgetown; and further, to place upon the
City Council Agendas for August 12, 2008, and on or before October 28, 2008, the consideration of
the passage of an ordinance annexing said area into the City of Georgetown.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR GEORGETOWN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
BEING 5.00 acres of land, situated in the Antonio Flores Survey, Abstract No. 235, Williamson
County, Texas, said land being that certain tract of land, called 5.016 acres, as conveyed by deed
to Richard W. Bunte, a Baron Sole, by deed as recorded in Volume 1039, Page 346, of the
Official Records of Williamson County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground in the month of May,
2006, under the supervision of Brian F. Peterson, Registered Professional Land Surveyor, and
being more particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at an iron pin found on the north line of Meda Street, marking the Southeast corner
of the above-referenced 5.016 acre Bunte tract, being the Southwest corner of that certain tract of
land, called 13.505 acres, as conveyed to Mary M. Neely by deed recorded as Document No.
2001074117 of the Official Public Records of Williamson County, Texas, for the Southeast
-corner hereof;
THENCE, along the said north line of Meda Street, S 71° 12' 15" W, 184.87 feet to an iron pin
found marking the Northeast corner of that certain Tract I, called 1.12 acres, as conveyed to
Gene M. Hensley and wife, Melba F. Hensley, by deed as recorded in Volume 1071, Page 391 of
the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, leaving the said north line of Meda Street,
S 71 ° 06' 15" W, 120.04 feet to an iron pin found on an easterly line of Georgetown High
School, a subdivision of record in Cabinet U, Slide 128, of the Plat Records of Williamson
County, Texas, being the Southwest corner of the said 5.016 acre Bunte tract and the Northwest
corner of the said 1.12 acre Hensley Tract I, for the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE, along the said easterly line of Georgetown High School, N 19° 27' 15" W, 659.19
feet to an iron pin found and N 19° 25' 45" W, 50.18 feet to an iron pin found marking the
Northwest corner of the said 5.016 acre Bunte tract, being an interior corner of the said
Georgetown High School, for the Northwest corner hereof;
=NCE, along a southerly line of the said Georgetown High School, N 68° 58' 30" E, 304.35
feet to an iron pin found marking the Northeast corner of the said 5.106 acre Bunte tract, being
the Northwest corner of the said 13.505 acre Neely tract, for the Northeast corner hereof;
THENCE, S 19° 30' 15" E, 721.01 feet to the Place of BEGINNING and containing 5.00 acres
of land.
