the Raintree Subdivision and an adjacent property, approximately 82 acres located off of
Southwestern Boulevard/CRI 10 -- Clyde von Rosenberg and Ed Barry
von Rosenberg told Council that several meetings have been held with the residents of the
areas to be annexed. Drainage problems in Pleasant Valley were discussed, along with
various solutions. Hart explained that the problems lie with the runoff from adjacent
properties. It was determined that the analysis of the drainage issues would continue and a
solution would be included in the Capital Improvements Budget for next fiscal year.
von Rosenberg told Council that the residents of the Raintree Subdivision would like a
City park developed on a specific vacant lot in the subdivision. It was discussed that the
City would need to acquire the property and budget for the recreation equipment. There
was discussion from the audience regarding a homeowner's association that is no longer
operating, and questioning the liability for the homeowners if a park were developed.
Larvin Jefferson, 307 Raintree Drive, told Council that he would be pleased to be annexed
into the City and would like to see the park developed, street lighting, and stop signs. He
asked to know which Councihnember would represent the newly annexed area. It was
determined that Raintree would be represented by Tonn, and Pleasant Valley by Valdez.
He also asked that the street signs in Georgetown on Martin Luther King Boulevard be
corrected to designate Martin Luther King, "Jr." He noted that the City offices that are
