The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in special session on the above date
with Mayor Leo Wood presiding.

A Consider appointing members to the Georgetown Higher Education Finance Corporation
Board/Marianne Banks
Banks explained that one of the alternates needs to be appointed in place of Tim
Kennedy, who cannot serve, and whose name was originally left off the list on the
last Council Meeting Agenda Item Cover Sheet, and that the terms of the members
appointed at the previous meeting, March 8, 1994, had now expired, so they
would need to be re -appointed.
Motion by Tonn, second by Curl to re -appoint the previously -listed members and
to appoint alternate, Gene Lawhon, to the membership of the Higher Education
Finance Corporation Board. Approved 5-0.

There were no citizens who wished to address Council at this time.

Hart introduced two members of Embree Group who presented preliminary
drawings for the proposed recreation center. Councilmembers asked the
consultants questions regarding traffic congestion, safety for the children, access
to the restrooms at the recreation center by children from the Playscape,
availability of meeting room space, and how much facility could be bought for
certain budget amounts.
Hart suggested that alternative financing
could
be
investigated in order to provide
for more facility than would be possible
with
the
present limited budget.
