The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in special session on the above date
with Mayor Leo Wood presiding.

SPECIAL SESSION --Called to Order at 6:00 p.m.
A Ordinance 93-15 canvassing votes for the May 1, 1993, General Election and declaring
election results official --Emergency Reading/Elizabeth Gray
Gray thanked Sandra Lee for her assistance in the election, and read the
ordinance.
Motion by Tonn, second by Bonner to approve this ordinance on emergency
reading. Approved 7-0.
B Comments by outgoing Councilmember(s)
Valdez and Shelby expressed their thanks to the voters and congratulated their
successors.

C Swearing in of new Councilmembers/Elizabeth Gray
Gray delivered the oath of office to new Councilmembers Lupe Carranco and Dick
Vincent.
D Comments by incoming Councilmembers
Both new Councilmembers thanked the voters and expressed that they are looking
forward to serving on the Council.
E Election of Mayor Pro-Tem/Mayor
Doris Curl nominated Mike McMaster as Mayor Pro -Tem citing the long -held
Council tradition of electing the person on the Council with the most seniority.
Second by Jane Voltz. Approved 7-0.
F Swearing in of Mayor Pro-Tem/Elizabeth Gray
Gray delivered the oath of office to Mike McMaster,
G Schedule of Council Workshops and Orientation Sessions/Bob Hart
Hart reviewed some of the upcoming activities for the Council.
H Mayor, Council and City Manager comments
There were no comments.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
