No citizens wished to address Council at this time.
Hart announced that the Association of Wholesale Customers (AWC) will award the Electric
System Achievement Award to the City of Georgetown at the AWC General Membership
Meeting on Thursday, May 14, in San Marcos. McMaster volunteered to attend.
Hart announced that the LCRA will host a Watershed Management Policy Forum on Wednesday,
June 3, in Austin

Mayor Wood said he would be attending.
Mayor Wood asked for information regarding the status of the budget. Hart suggested that he
consult the monthly reports for that information and that the Council will be setting their goals
at the Council Retreat on May 29 and 30.
o Council boards and commissions joint meeting schedule
Hart reminded Council that they had asked to meet with the Airport Board once a year,
the Planning and Zoning Commission four times a year, the Library Board once a year,
the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board once a year, and the Historic Preservation
Committee once a year. Mayor Wood prefers afternoon meetings that could be
substituted for workshops before the council meetings.
Hart announced that the Williamson County Sheriff's Posse Parade will be Saturday morning.
To ride in the parade, the Council is asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. at the VFW Park.
Mayor Wood read a proclamation declaring Police Week and presented it to Chief of Police
Hugh Anderson.
Consideration of and possible action on the following items:
920226 Ordinance amending Ch.6.16 "Peddlers and Solicitors" to provide for additional provisions
for granting or denying permits --Second Reading/Marianne Banks
Ordinance No. 92-11 was read by City Attorney Banks. Motion by McMaster, second by Bonner
to approve on second reading. Approved 6-0.
920227 Ordinance amending Ch. 5.20 "Nuisances" of the Code of Ordinances, to provide procedures
for notification of violations and for abatement of nuisances by City farces --Second
Reading/Marianne Banks
Ordinance No. 92-12 was read by City Attorney Banks. Motion by Tonn, second by Curl to
approve on second reading. Approved 6-0.

Reynolds provided packets of information for Council and the public and presented an overhead
display to review the past half fiscal year. There were no questions from Council.

Hart explained to Council that the Requests for Proposal are due back tomorrow. He asked
Council how they wanted to evaluate. Mayor Wood asked if there was an established scoring
method, and if points were given for being a local firm. Glenn Reynolds answered that there was
an established scoring method and that no points were given for being a local firm. Hart
suggested selecting a firm with a good reputation and municipal experience. Reynolds told
Council that one local proposal had been received and one more is expected. All the CPA firms

in the Georgetown Fellow Pages were contacted. Only two out of approximately 10 asked to
be sent a request for proposal.
Council agreed to allow Hart and Reynolds to narrow the field of proposed firms to no less than
three and no more than five to be interviewed by a Council subcommittee. Mayor Wood
appointed McMaster, Bonner and Tonn to serve on the committee, with McMaster as Chairman.
