The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in a special session on the above date
with Mayor W. H. Connor presiding.

The Mayor called the meeting to order at 12:14 p.m. and requested Ron Tabery to present a slide
show on the fluidized bed combustion program.
The Council had a general discussion of the process, the potential use of the technology, and the
benefit to the community, and in particular, Georgetown Hospital,
Bob Hart summarized the grant proposal which is available through the Governor's Energy
Office. The grant could be done at no cost to the City, with reimbursement of any direct
expenses.
Barbara Pearce moved to authorize the Mayor to sign the grant proposal, and authorized the City
Staff to file the grant with the State and instructed the Staff to bring to the Council a public
education program. Second by Joe Saegert. Approved 6-0.
The Mayor adjourned the meeting at 1:20 p.m.
