PUBLIC HEARING—Called • Order• 910552 Publicon • • Development BlockProgram, Capital Fund Real Estate Grant'•• Hart Hart announced that this was the second public hearing for this grant program that was initiated through an application due to the interest by Sierra Microwave Technology, Inc. which is a business interested in locating in Georgetown. This program is through the Texas Capital Fund Real Estate Grant Program, and is to help entice the relocation of companies to the State of Texas. This program is a zero interest loan for land and the construction of buildings. The proposed project is to purchase land and buildings for Sierra Microwave Technology. The application includes $330,000 for building and land, $50,000 for grant administration and an additional $380,000 injection by Sierra Microwave Technology. This will be a loan from the State to the business through the City of Georgetown. The City will have no liability for repayment if Sierra Microwave Technology were to vacate the building. Payments to the State would stop until the building is leased to new tenants. There is no relocation of individuals as a result of this grant program. Mayor Connor asked for public comment. There was no comment from the sessionpubl a ic. The Mayor adjourned the Public Hearing and moved on to the regular • •, REGUL4JZ SESSION 910553 Resolution approving a Texas Capital y1 Real Estate Grant Program application `i the Texas Department Motion by McMaster, second by Schrawger to approve the application. Approved 7-00 �40554 Resolution authorizing the process to be followed for development of a park commemorating the foundmig of the location of the City of Georgetown/Randy Morrow Bob Hart explained that if the resolution is approved, work would begin next week on site preparation and preparation of the church building for relocation. The move is to take place on January 13. Motion by Schrawger, second by Bonner to approve the resolution as read. Approved 7-0. 910555 Final Comments Schrawger suggested that the Mayor's letter to Georgetown utility customers be reprinted in the new City Newsletter to again explain the new rate increases.
