Capital Fund Real Estate Grant'•• Hart
Hart announced that this was the second public hearing for this grant program that
was initiated through an application due to the interest by Sierra Microwave
Technology, Inc. which is a business interested in locating in Georgetown. This
program is through the Texas Capital Fund Real Estate Grant Program, and is to
help entice the relocation of companies to the State of Texas. This program is a
zero interest loan for land and the construction of buildings.
The proposed project is to purchase land and buildings for Sierra Microwave
Technology. The application includes $330,000 for building and land, $50,000 for
grant administration and an additional $380,000 injection by Sierra Microwave
Technology.
This will be a loan from the State to the business through the City of Georgetown.
The City will have no liability for repayment if Sierra Microwave Technology
were to vacate the building. Payments to the State would stop until the building
is leased to new tenants.
