PUBLIC HEARING - Call to Order 7:01 pm
900544 Hearing on the proposed annexations to the City's incorporated area/Michael
Lauer and Ed Barry
Ed Barry reviewed staff - compiled figures on the projected tax impact of
the proposed 1990 annexations.
Michael Meador spoke on behalf of the Parker family, owners of a 37 -acre
tract in the northwest quadrant of the City that is proposed for annexation. He
stated that, since the owner will be required to petition for annexation if and when
the tract is platted for subdivision, there is no reason to annex the property now,
and they opposed the proposed annexation.
There were no more citizens wishing to speak, and Mayor Connor adjourned the public hearing
at 7:10 p.m.
SPECIAL SESSION

Councilmember Bonner complimented Public Utilities Director Jim Briggs
for the excellent job he has been doing, which has resulted in very satisfied
constituents.

Councilmember Valdez invites all interested persons to attend a VFW
breakfast to be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 1990 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the
VFW Hall.
Councilmember Saegert stated that he will be out of town from Friday,
Nov. 2 through Wednesday, Nov. 7.
Mayor Connor adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
