The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas met in a Special Session
on the above date at 5:00 p.m. with Mayor Jim Colbert presiding. The
following members of Council and officials were present: Councilmembers Joan
King, Marvin Lackey, Luther Laubach, Barbara Pearce and Mike McMaster, City
Secretary, Leta F. Willoughby, City Manager R. Bob Gaylor, City Attorney,
Diane Callander, Director of Community Services, Hartley Sappington, and
Director of Public Works, Allyn Moore
SPECIAL MEETING: 5:00 P.M.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
The following item will be considered in Executive Session and is
subject to action in open session:

SPECIAL AGENDA:
880145 Award Proposal to Provide Police Radio Equipment/Hugh
Anderson
DISCUSSION FOLLOWED
Councilmember Laubach stated that he would like to wait on this
matter until the new Council was on board. Councilmember Pearce
asked Chief Anderson about the timeliness of this matter. Chief
Anderson replied that this is a much needed item, if the
equipment was ordered immediately, he is looking at 45-60 days
for delivery.
Motion by Councilmember Lackey and Second by Councilmember
McMaster to award the following proposal.
Repeater and Installation - Red Door Communication - $6980.30
Mobile Radios and Installation - Motorola - $7227.00

DISCUSSION FOLLOWED
Councilmember Lackey asked if there was a line item in the
budget for this. Mr. Gaylor stated that there is a line item in
the budget for "Appraisals9°, however, this project had not been
included in the amount set aside, but that monies could be
transferred to that line item to cover this matter.
Motion by Councilmember McMaster and Second by Councilmember
King to appropriate $12,000.00 for the appraisal for the ROW for
the Williams Drive Widening Project.
DISCUSSION FOLLOWED
Councilmember Lackey asked Councilmember McMaster to amend and
Councilmember King to accept the amendment to the motion to
include: Section 6.04 of the City Charter must be complied with
on purchase of the property.
Councilmember McMaster made the amendment and Councilmember King
accepted.
