The City Council of the City of Georgetown suet in regular
Session on the above date at 6:30 P.M. with Mayor Jinn Colbert
presiding. The following council members and officials were
present: Council Member Luther Laubach, Council iember Joan
King, Council Member Marvin E. Lackey, Council Member Barbara
Pearce, Council Member like McMaster, Deputy City Secretary

and audience. Questions were answered by Staff and Council.
Dr. Stephen Schaefer representing the Sheriff's Possee made
the comment that he stood in support of the ordinance as
revised and that he applauded the Council`s efforts in this
matter. Mr. Malinovsky addressed his concerns for the
protection of water supply from health hazards and asked
Council's consideration. Council responded that the 500 fte
provisions outlined in this ordinance were guidelines
provided by the Texas Water Commission and that the
protection of public health safety stanaaras would be
governed by and under the direction of the Texas Department
of Health. Council asked for Staff confirmation of that
information and it was affiriried.

Mayor Colbert asked the Council if they had any other itefis
to discuss. None replied. Mr. Gaylor, City Manager, made
comments regard the Park Water Plant processing related to
the certification procedure. He advised that there are
probably going to be some delays in putting on our line
because one of the subcontractors working on the project
filed bankruptcy. The contractor has asked for a small delay
in order to allow time for him to find another vendor.
Mr. Gaylor also advised that the staff think they have worked
out all the details on the Maple Street. Water Line as well.
