The City Council of the City of Georgetown met in Special
Session on the above date at 6:00 P.M. with Mayor Jim Colbert
presiding. The following council members and officials were
present: Council Member Luther Laubach, Council Member Joan
King, Council Member Marvin E. Lackey, Council Member Barbara
Pearce, Council Member Mike McMaster, City Secretary Pat
Caballero, City Manager R. Bob Gaylor, Director of Finance
and Administration Gwen Sherman, Director of Community
Services Hartley Sappington, and Development and Planning
Director Ed Barry,
Regular Agenda:
870446. Appoint Airport Advisory Board Member, Jim Colbert
Mayor Colbert recommended the following Airport Advisory
Board appointment. Motion by King and second by McMaster to
accept the Mayor's recommendation and confirm the following
appointment. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Moore, will expire 4/09/88)
oint Subdivision Regulations Advisory Committee Members, Jim Colbert
Mayor Colbert recommended the following Subdivision
Regulations Advisory Committee appointments. Motion by King
and second by Lackey to approve the Mayor's recommendations
and confirm the following appointments. Motion carried by
unanimous vote

Motion by King and second by Pearce to authorize the Mayor to
sign a contract with "The Management" for Training Programs
for City employees subject to the approval of the City
Attorney. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, COURT AND CRIMINAL
PROCEDURE, OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN CODE OF ORDINANCES,
SECTION 9-9. FINES AND SPECIAL EXPENSES, TO LEVY A SPECIAL
EXPENSE NOT TO EXCEED $10.00 FOR DISMISSED CASES; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

870450. Tourism Development Board Seminar Organizational Funds_, Jack Gregoire
Motion by Lackey and second by King to approve an interim
Tourism Development Board budget for $1,500. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
870451. Formal Acceptance of Airport and Airway Improvement Act Federal Grant,
Travis McLain
Motion by Lackey and second by King to formally accept a
Federal Grant under provisions of the Airport and Airway
Improvement Act of 1982 in the amount of $649,500. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
870452. Resolution, Tax Roll Certification, Gwen Sherman
Motion by Pearce and second by McMaster to adopt the
following resolution. Voting went as follows: yes: Laubach,
King, Pearce and McMaster; no: Lackey. Motion carried.

WHEREAS, the City Tax Assessor -Collector has on September 29,
1987 submitted to the City Council a Tax Roll for 1987 with
amounts of tax entered as approved by this Council; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed said roll and found it to
be in the City's best interest to approve it as submitted;
now therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN
that the Tax Roll
for 1987
as submitted to the council
by the
City Tax Assessor
-Collector
with amounts of tax
entered as
approved by the
Council
is hereby in all respects
approved as
the Tax Roll
of the
City of Georgetown and as
such shall
constitute the
City of
Georgetown's Tax Roll for 1987.
