the City of Georgetown met in Regular
Session on

P.M. with Mayor Jim Colbert
presiding.

John Warden, Chief of Current Planning, made the following
comment for the record. Motion by Laubach and second
by King to affirm the following comment. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.

WHEREAS, that the City of Georgetown, Texas ("City"), has
previously instituted annexation proceedings for areas
surrounding said City; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the following petitions for voluntary annexation have
been duly certified, and are hereby approved and accepted by
the City Council:
(a) Highway 29 Petition. For a 10 foot strip of land along
North side of State Highway 29 extending from the current
eastern most city limits eastward for a distance of 3 miles;
attached as Exhibit A (on file in the city secretary's
office).

2. That the Petitions meet the requisites required by the
Municipal Annexation Act for petitions for voluntary
annexation, in being signed by owners of all the areas to be
annexed, or, of a majority of the qualified votes in the
areas to be annexed.
