The City Council of the City of Georgetown met in Special
Session on the above date at 5:30 P.M. with Mayor Jim Colbert
presiding. The following council members and officials were
present: Council Member Joan King, Council Member Marvin E.
Lackey, Council Member Bill Connor, Council Member William C.
Shell, City Secretary Pat Caballero, City Manager R. Bob
Gaylor, Director of Finance and Administration Gwen Sherman,
Director of Community Services Hartley Sappington, Director
of Public Works Allyn Moore, Development and Planning
Director Ed Barry, Municipal Judge Parker McCollough.
Council Member Eb C. Girvin was absent. Also present were
Council Members Elect Barbara Pearce, Luther Laubach and
Mike McMaster.
870135. Resolution, Declaring Results of the April 4, 1987 City Officers
Election, Pat Caballero
Prior to the adoption of the resolution declaring the results
of the April 4, 1987 City Officers Election Mayor Colbert
appointed Council Members Connor and Lackey and County Voting
Registrar Dorothy Jones to a canvassing committee to canvas
the Official Election Returns
Motion by Lackey and second by Connor to adopt the following
resolution. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF CITY OFFICERS' ELECTION
There came on to be considered the returns of an election
held on the 4th day of April 1987 for the purpose of electing
the hereinafter named officials, and it appearing from said
returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said
election 1580 valid and legal votes; that each of the
candidates in said election received the following votes:

and Barbara Pearce were
duly
elected
Council Member
of
said City at said election,
and
to the public, and said notice

of

State of Texas.
