The City Council of the City of Georgetown timet in
Regular Session on the above date at 7:00 P.M.
with Mayor Jim Colbert presiding. The following
council members and officials were present:
Council Member Eb C. Girvin, Council Member Joan

Consent Agenda: Motion by King and second by Shell to approve

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN
Whereas; Heretofore the City of Georgetown and
the Lower Colorado River Authority have entered
into a certain agreement dated June 25, 1974; and
Whereas; There are certain changes necessary and
appropriate related to the contract load (KW)
year ending June 25, 1986 and the estimated
contract loads for the five-year period ending
June 25, 1991, as reflected on the attached and
annexed Exhibit A (a copy of which is filed in
the office of City Secretary) and made a part

the variance subject to the following conditions.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
1. All ordinance requirements shall be met.
2. All drainage requirements shall be met; A
drainage facilities maintenance covenant shall be
required prior to recordation.
3. Utilities being adequate - Water availability
note shall apply and fire protection improvements
shall be included in Construction Plans which
meet City standards as if an adequate water
supply were available.
4. Prior to recordation of plat either the
Subdivision Improvements shall be installed, or
adequate surety established.
5. A landscape plan shall be submitted in
conjunction with subdivision construction plans
for designated landscape easements.
6. Driveway access to Fox Drive shall be
restricted to one 35 foot approach per lot.

Zoning Commission Chairman, regarding the
activities and suggestions of the Planning and
Zoning Commission for the 1986 calendar year.
Report, Development Regulations Review Advisory
Committee: The council heard a report from
Barbara Pearce regarding the status of the
Development Regulation Review Committee's work
toward a new subdivision ordinance. Pearce told
the council that she would return with a
proposed schedule by the last meeting in February
1987.
Discussion, Library Automation System: Motion by Shell
and second by Connor to approve a plan, presented
by City Manager Robert Gaylor, to purchase a
computer system for the City Library. Such plan
would assure that if the proposed computer system
was not suitable for the library needs, that the
city would purchase such system for its own use.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
870012. Georgetown/Round Rock Joint Use Water Facilities: Motion
by Connor and second by Lackey approve an
agreement with Haynie & Kallman, Inc. for a
Preliminary Engineering Report to investigate the
possibilities of joint use water facilities
between the cities of Georgetown and Round Rock
and Jonah Water Supply Corporation. Voting went
as follows: yes: King, Lackey, Connor and Shell;
abstain: Girvin. Motion carried.

1st Reading Motion by Connor and second by King
to affirm the first reading of the following

870015. Dove Springs Development Discussion: Motion by Girvin and
second by Shell that the City of Georgetown
appear before the Texas Water Commission on
January 14, 1987 to become a participant in the
Dove Springs Development Waste Water Treatment
Plant Hearings and ask for a continuance. If
continuance is denied then the city should
withdraw as a participant.
870016. Economic Development Policy Discussion: The council held a
discussion regarding Economic Development. Mayor
Colbert called a Special Workshop Session of the
City Council for Tuesday, January 20, 1987 at
6:00 P.M. to discuss this matter.
