above date at 5:30 PM with Mayor Carl Doering
presiding. The following Council Members and
Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Dill
Connor, William C. Shell, Joan Ring, Jim
Colbert, City Secretary Pat Caballero, City
Manager Frank Reed, Director of Public Works
Allyn Moore, Community Development and Planning
Director Ed Barry Police Chief Hugh Anderson III
and Transition Consultant Renee Hanson,
1. CHARTER REVISIONS
The city council discussed comments submitted by
Andy McSwain regarding the legality of certain
proposed charter revisions.
2. APPROVAL OF CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT APPLICATION
Motion by Connor and second by Colbert to
approve, for submittal, the certified local
government grant application as prepared by the
City of Georgetown Planning Staff and authorize
Mayor Doering to sign the application form.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
3a E.R.A - R.T.T.S PARTICIPATION
Motion by Girvin and second by Shell to appoint
Mayor Carl Doering, City Manager Frank Reed and
Transition Consultant Renee Hanson to a
committee
to study
the participation
of the City
of
Georgetown
in
the Brazos River
Authority`s
Regional
Treatment
and Transmission
System
and
authorize
them
to
discuss, on behalf
of the City
of
Georgetown,
with the
surrounding
municipalities
and
water supply corporations
on
the
topic
of joining
the R.T.T.S.
MISC. No action taken on this matter.
ADJOURN Motion by Shell and second by Ring to adjourn.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
