PROGRAM AND EXECUTE THE

WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has identified
four needs related to community development in a
low and moderate income neighborhood, namely Old
Southwest Towne and
WHEREAS,

Southwest
Town
Revitalization
Project
will
assist
in meeting
the
needs
with

the following activities:
1. Water and Sewer Facilities
2. Street Improvements
3. Flood and Drainage Improvements
4. Fire Protection Facilities and Equipment
Whereas,
the Texas
Department of
Community
Affairs
administers
the Texas
Community
Development
Program to
assist communities
with
community
development
activities in the
State of
Texas,
of
said project
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Georgetown, that:
1. The City of Georgetown apply for a Texas
Community Development Program under Community
Development Project Fund (Regional Allocations)
under all the terms and conditions of the State
of Texas.
2. The Mayor of Georgetown be and is hereby
authorized and directed to execute the documents
in conjunction with said application.
3 The City of Georgetown enter into and agree to
the understandings and assurances contained in
said application.
4 The City of Georgetown supports proposed
activities described above and will make a local
commitment of $414,471 as follows:
a. Water and Sewer Facilities - $321,280
b. Engineering Cost - 493,191
5 The City
will cover
in total,
all
street
seal -coating
and administration
cost
incurred
in
the implementation
of
said project
and
will
conform
activities
to
comply with
the
final
project audit.

School
property
and part
of Lakeway
Drive; the
high
school bus
barn and
the adjacent
portion
of U.S.
highway
81; and the
portion
of
FM 2243 adjacent
to the junior
high school.
7. BUDGET AMENDMENT ORDINANCE - EMERGENCY READING - RANDY STUMP
Motion by Connor and second by King to adopt, on
emergency reading, an ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
amending Ordinance No. 85-28 adopted August 27,
1985, which was the original budget of said city
for the fiscal year 1985-86 beginning September
11 1986 and ending ,August 31, 1986; making
certain finding of facts by the City Council of
said city as to the existence of a public
necessity for the amendment of the original
budget, which require emergency expenditures to
meet unusual and unforeseen conditions, which
could not, by reasonable diligent thought and
attention, have been included in the original
budget; providing for transfers between
departmentsand divisions; approving and
adopting the amended budget% providing for
severability; and declaring an emergency.
Voting went as follows: yes. Girvin, King,
Connor and Shell; no: Lackey. Motion carried.

8. 404 RIDGEOOD DRIVE - VARIANCE FENCE HEIGHT
Motion by King and second by Connor to approve
an variance from the six foot height restriction
of Zoning Ordinance Section 8.302 to allow an
existing twenty-six foot section of eight foot
high fence, along the westerly portion of the
back lot line of Lot 16, Block C, San Gabriel
Heights V, 404 Ridgewood Drive. Voting went as
follows: yes: Girvin, King and Connor; no:
Lackey and Shell. Motion carried.

Motion by Lackey and second by Shell to
acknowledge the first reading of an ordinance
vacating and abandoning that portion of a 10
foot utility easement and right of way only as
it relates to the Williams Commercial Park
Subdivision (CAB. G. Slide 183-184), Williamson
County, Texas, said easement being of record in
Volume 577, Page 708, Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas, and excepting and reserving unto
the City of Georgetown, its successors and
assigns the abandoned portion of the easement
where there are any functioning utility lines or
appurtenances located in, on, or under said
abandoned portion for the purpose of repairing,
replacing, restoring, removing, relocating and
maintaining, as may be necessary from time to
time, existing utility lines including sewer,
drainage, water piping and electric distribution
lines and appurtenances on, under, across or
over said abandoned portion. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
