1® TRI -TRACT AGREEMENT
The council held a council/staff workshop on the
Tri -Tract Agreement.
1. GISD ANNEXATION ORDINANCE - FIRST READING
Motion by Connor and second by Shell to
acknowledge the first reading of an ordinance
providing for the extension of certain boundary
limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the
annexation of certain territory consisting of
the Georgetown Independent School Districts
(GISD) Lakeway Drive and High School Bus Barn
Tracts and the FM 2243 Right -of -Way adjacent to
GISDyS Junior High School Tract, which said
territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the
present boundary limit of the City of
Georgetown, Texas and not being part of any
incorporated area, providing for service plans
and savings clause, subject to the following
conditions be met prior to the second reading of
this ordinance: 1) To protect Georgetown's "key"
insurance rate, the School District shall make
immediate arrangements to install any fire
hydrants required to meet the requirements of
the State Fire Insurance Board, 2) A plan for
the construction of sidewalks adjacent to
arterial roads on each of these sites shall be
completed prior to the second reading of this
ordinance and confirmation of intent shall be in
writing. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
