An Ordinance of the City Council of the City Of Georgetown, Texas, Accepting
into the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown Approximately
48.567 (+/-) Acres of Land Located in Williamson County, Texas, Described as
"Tract B" in the Deed from Charles Maund and Helen E. Maund to Erik Maund
Irrevocable Trust Recorded as a Special Warranty Deed, in Vol. 908 Mage 203 of
the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being in the Greenleaf
Fisk Survey, Abstract No. 5, Williamson County, Texas, and Being More
Specifically Described by Metes and Bounds as "Tract B" on Exhibit A and by
Diagram on Exhibit B, which are Attached to and Made fart of this Ordinance,;
Providing a Severability Clause; and Providing an Effective Date.
WHEREAS, by Petition dated May 14, 2007, the City of Georgetown received a request from
the Erik Maund Irrevocable Trust, by and through its Trustee, Douglas C. Maund, being the owner
of the following described real property, to have such property voluntarily included within the
City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction ("ETJ"):
Approximately 48.567 (+J-) Acres of Land Located in Williamson County, Texas,
Described as "Tract B" in the Deed from Charles Maund and Helen E. Maund to
Erik Maund Irrevocable Trust Recorded as a Special Warranty Deed, in Vol. 908
Page 203 of the Official Records of Williamson County, Texas and being in the
Greenleaf Fisk Survey, Abstract No. 5, Williamson County, Texas, and Being More
Specifically Described by Metes and Bounds as "Tract B" on Exhibit A and by
Diagram on Exhibit B, which are attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance
for all purposes as if set forth in full ("the Land"):
WHEREAS said Land is currently contiguous to the City of Georgetown's existing ETJ; and
WHEREAS, Section 42.022 of the Texas Local Government Code allows for properties that
are contiguous to the ETJ of a City to voluntarily be included into the City's ETJ upon request of the
property owner and acceptance by the City;
THEREFORE, ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF OF
GEORGETOWN,
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this ordinance
implements the following Policy Statements of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element:
A. Policy Statement 1.0: The community enjoys the benefits of well-planned land use in
which conflicting needs are balanced.

B. Policy Statement 2.0: Georgetown's natural and physical resources are managed so
that citizens enjoy the benefits of economic and social development.
C. Policy Statement8.0: Parks, open space, recreation facilities and services, and social
and cultural activities contribute to an enhanced quality of life for the citizens of Georgetown.
The City Council further finds that the enactment of this ordinance is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of
the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby accepts into the City of
Georgetown's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ), for all purposes, the approximately 48.567 acres
(+/-) of land that is described by metes and bounds on Exhibit A, and shown by diagram on Exhibit
B, both of which exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes
as if set forth in full, and said Land is hereby declared to be part of and within the City of
Georgetown's ETJ.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed, and are no longer of any force and effect.
SECTION 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this ordinance and the City Secretary
to attest.
SECTION 5:

City of Georgetown
