Council Absent: Llorente Navarrette, Gabe Sansing, Doug Smith, Jack Noble Sam Pfiester, Farley Snell, Ken Evans Staff Present: Paul Brandenburg, City Manager; Tom Yantis, Assistant City Manager for Operations; Jim Briggs, Assistant City Manager for Utility Operations; Trish Carls, City Attorney; Sandra Lee, City Secretary; Amelia Sondgeroth, Director of Development Services; Charlie Walker, Manager of Economic Growth and Planning Called to order at 4:01 p.m. A Discussion of the Economic Development Commission's draft "Principles for Georgetown's Economic Development Incentives" -- Gordon Baker, Chair of the Economic Development Commission, Charlie Walker, Manager of Economic Growth and Planning, Paul Brandenburg, City Manager Economic Development Commission Chair, Gordon Baker, introduced Henry Carr, Chair of the Recruitment Working Group, who explained, with a slide presentation, the Commission's "strategy" for economic development. He said the Commission was looking for Council's critique, not their approval at this meeting. He said the strategy is focused on City values, and he outlined the Commission's "Principles for Georgetown's Economic Development Incentives." Jon Roberts, representing the City's Business Recruitment and Retention Contractor, TIP Strategies, outlined five points of the TIP Strategies' View of Georgetown's Incentive Policy.
