A. Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution of the governing body of the City
of Georgetown authorizing the execution and delivery of a master equipment lease -purchase
agreement with Verizon Credit, Inc. and separate lease schedules and certificates of
acceptance with respect to the acquisition, purchase, financing and leasing of certain
equipment for the public benefit; authorizing the execution and delivery of the documents
required in connection therewith; and authorizing the taking of all other actions necessary
to the consummation of the transactions contemplated bythis resolution.
Paul Brandenburg, Tom Yantis and John Applewhaite explained to council that it had already
approved the contract with Verizon. However, it was discovered that Verizon required a
Council Resolution approving the contract prior to the end of the year in order to get the
equipment ordered.
Motion by Snell, Second by Evans, to approve a Resolution authorizing the execution and
delivery of a master equipment lease -purchase agreement with Verizon Credit, Inc.
