Council Present: MaryEllen Kersch, Charles "Noss" Burson, Ken Evans, Jack Noble, Doug Smith, Clark Lyda Staff Present: George Russell, City Manager, Secretary, Amelia Sondgeroth, Administrative Assistant Council Absent: Llorente Navarrette, Sam Pfiester Trish Carls, City Attorney, Shirley J. Rinn, Deputy City Development Services Director, Danella Elliott, Called to order at 4:00 p.m. A Review of an Annotated Outline of the working version of the new Development Code (unified development code) -- Leane Heldenfels and Amelia Sondgeroth Amelia Sondgeroth introduced Lee Einsweiler of Duncan & Associates who gave Council a presentation regarding the draft of the Development Code. Sondgeroth said she anticipates having a complete draft of the new Development Code after the first of the year. There was discussion. There was discussion regarding the need to have the new process, once adopted, publicized on cable, on the utility bill, and any other process to get the word out to the public. B Council Housekeeping Items: (1) Review/revise workshop schedule; (2) Identification of issues Council would like to have for future workshops; (3) Discussion of agendas for future workshops; (4) Discussion of date to interview P.I.O. candidates Suggested topics for future workshops are: a tour of the City parks, an update on the automated customer complaint system on the City web site, and the need to follow up on a workshop with the GISD board. Legislative Regular Agenda D Consideration of appointment of a canvassing team of councilmembers to canvass the results of the November 6, 2001 Bond Election -- Mayor Kersch Kersch appointed Evans and Smith as the canvassing team. Evans and Smith left the dias along with Deputy City Secretary, Shirley J. Rinn, to canvass the votes. E Consideration of approval of an ordinance canvassing the votes for the November 6, 2001 Bond Election and declaring the election results to be official --Emergency Reading -- Sandra Lee Motion by Evans, second by Smith to approve on emergency reading in compliance with state law the ordinance canvassing the votes for the November 6, 2001 Bond Election and declared the election results to be official.
