The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in Special Session on the
above date with Mayor MaryEllen Kersch presiding.
Regular Session — Called to Order at 4:30 p.m.
Executive Session
A. Sec.551.071 consultation with attorney
B. Sec.551.074 personnel matters
Consideration of applications and interviews of candidates for position
of City Manager
Consideration of hiring a City Manager
4:31 p.m. — recessed to Executive Session
Regular Session — resumed at 5:13 p.m.
C. Action from Executive Session
Motion by Bain, second by Pfiester to hire George Russell as City
Manager at a salary of $87,500, an upfront bonus of $3,000, four weeks of
annual vacation beginning this fiscal year, and a review in six months.
Hoyt said she would have preferred that Council would have begun the
process three months earlier.

D. Comments from Mayor
Announcement regarding Town Hall Meeting on Funding Issues
Mayor announced that the Town Hall Meeting had been changed
from June 12 to the second week of July.
Motion by Navarrette to adjourn at 5:17 p.m.
