The Georgetown Arts and Culture Advisory Board met on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 4:30 PM at City
Hall, 808 Martin Luther King, Jr Street.

The following Members were in attendance:

David Valdez was absent so Karen E Turpin ran the meeting.

Announcement - Karen E Turpin, Board Member At Large
• Norma's artwork will be displayed in the Library's Art Exhibit on the 2nd floor
during September.
• School is starting, for a list of events you can visit the Georgetown ISD's Fine Art
Page.
. The Palace will be preforming "You Can't Do That, Dan Moody!" in the Courthouse
from September 29th until October 15th every weekend. Tickets are now available
for purchase on their website.

Consideration and possible action to approve proposed Sculpture Tour 2023-2024
artists - Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Program Manager
Moved by Norma J Clark; seconded by Timothy W Fleming to Approve as
recommended by staff..

LE Program Manager report
Presentation of Arts and Culture Program Manager's Report - Amanda Still, Arts &
Culture Program Manager
Upcoming Projects - Asphalt Art Grant and San Jose Mosaic Mural
Cultural District Programming - Month of the Arts Planning meeting was on August
15th to continue planning for the South Main Arts Festival. The Rain Barrell Project
well be held again this year with the Water Conservation Department. Haunted Art
Night will be October 20th. The City of Georgetown will be moving forward with the
Art Center Transition Plan to take on a more operational roll for the facility.
Future Meetings - The September 19th will be held as planned. The October 17th
meeting will be cancelled.

Artist Reception
Artist reception for the City Hall Gallery after the board meeting. The Arts & Culture Advisory
Board is invited. No official action will be taken.
The reception has been rescheduled for September 19th after the Arts & Culture Advisory
Board Meeting.
